Farm Share Spotlight: Star Light Gardens

February 23, 2024
Star Light Gardens in Durham is participating in CT NOFA’s Farm Share Program, which provides reduced cost Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares – also known as farm shares – to Connecticut residents in need of financial assistance.
Star Light Gardens is a certified organic, four season farm located in Durham and Middlefield. They have a year round CSA, on farm pick up, and attend markets all year long. They offer a wide variety of produce but specialize in salad greens.
They offer a year round Market Card credit rather than a traditional CSA; as a result, their buy in prices are lower. Farm Share program participants will receive a $330 Market Card they can use as they wish at their farmers markets or through their farm stand.
If you are a Connecticut resident who is interested in a reduced cost CSA share from Star Light Gardens, visit their website to apply for a share.
Don’t need a discounted CSA but would like to support Star Light Gardens in providing discounted CSA shares to those in need? You can donate to their fund here.
