The New CT Farmer Alliance is a statewide network of farmers and growers. By bringing young, new, and emerging farmers together it is our intent to identify and help develop support systems to nurture a successful and diverse agricultural landscape for our state.

Our mission is to bring together emerging farmers from across CT to network, share resources, and identify common challenges and opportunities for a more accessible, successful, and diverse agricultural community. We may have the word "New" in our name, but farmers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to join! We are an all volunteer network. All you have to do to be a part of it is show up, speak up, share, and make friends!

CT Greenhouse has been building, renovating, and growing in greenhouses and high tunnels for the last 10 years and we bring all of our first hand experience to the table. NRCS is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Our NAACP Environmental Justice Committee plans to distribute information and acquire petition signatures for an ordinance in Windham for transitioning to renewable energy in all new construction and major renovations.

Representatives of the University of Connecticut Extension Solid Ground program will be on hand to offer new and beginning farmers information on in-person training opportunities, 1:1 consultations with our team, and e-learning tools.

Phocas Seeds was started in 2019 by horticulturalist Corey Finke with the mission to provide gardeners, homesteaders, and farmers with high quality and unique, vegetable, herb, and medicinal seeds. Our seeds are adapted to CT as well as the greater eastern US. We focus on open pollinated and heirloom varieties grown in organic systems. All our seeds are grown in CT, NH, or PA, by small family farms. The majority of the seed we offer is grown on our farm in Thomaston & Plymouth CT, but we also source seed from two small family farms in NH and PA. All the farms that grow our seed use sustainable, regenerative, or organic practices. The health of the soil and ecosystems are important to us, and we ensure that the farms we work with share the same principles.

Organic Land Care is a sustainable ecological landscaping system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil biological activity. The NOFA Organic Land Care Program works to foster professional competency in the area of organic landscaping and protect the public interest in responsible use of land care products and land resources.

Blue Hill Too is a small ADGA Registered Nubian dairy goat farm in Eastern CT, specializing in soap production. Our goats are family...from Goat to Soap!

Sasha's Whole Earth: Hoodoo is an African Traditional Religion practice that was formulated for the liberation of Black People. The mission of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund is protecting, defending, and broadening the rights and viability of independent farmers, artisanal food producers, and their consumers. The FTCLDF protects the rights of farmers and consumers to engage in direct commerce; it protects the rights of farmers to sell the products of the farm and the rights of consumers to access the foods of their choice from the source of their choice. FTCLDF is a true grassroots organization and receives no government funding and little or no corporate funding.

The Sierra Club of Connecticut is an environmental nonprofit, focused on climate issues, land and water protection, zero waste and composting, and wildlife issues. We engage folks through grassroots advocacy and legislative/ executive work. We will be distributing materials about the Sierra Club.

The first of these Pollinator Pathway projects began in 2017 in Wilton, CT. Since then, Pathways have been established in over 300 towns in 11 states, and the list keeps growing. We will provide Information about the Pollinator Pathway and have Pollinator Pathway signs for sale.
