Organic Pest and Disease Management
August 24 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This event is part of CT NOFA’s Skill Share program, produced in partnership with UConn Extension’s Solid Ground program.
Join Shuresh Ghimire, UConn Extension IPM educator at Lathrop Farmstead as we explore the different pests and diseases vegetable farmers can face in a season and how to manage them in a organic way. This 3-hour event will provide a hands on opportunity to see what are the sorts of things we are facing this time of year, but also how earlier pests and diseases have been managed. Being certified organic always makes it more important to understand the firm boundaries of what you can and can’t do, so if you are interested in transitioning your farm to organic, or are in the early stages of your certified organic farm, this would be a great skill share to attend.
This field day is free to attend. Register here.
