Part Time Cut Flower Crew Member

Term of Employment: May 1st - October 31st
Compensation Range: $17 + depending on experience. Plus free surplus produce and flowers.
Duties / Responsibilities
1-2 days/week (Mondays and/or Fridays)
This position will focus primarily on supporting our cut-flower work.
Weekly hours:
Monday &/or Friday, 8am-4pm. We are looking for a candidate to work either or both days with a preference for a candidate who can do both.
Compensation:
Hourly wage is $17+ depending on experience.
Free surplus produce & flowers.
Work scope & expectations:
We are a small family farm business dedicated to soil health, fresh produce, and community. We work hard and expect team members to show up on time and with enthusiasm for the intense, rewarding work of farming in all weather conditions.
Our farm sits on 6 acres in Lebanon, CT with 2 acres in cultivation. We are a diversified operation, producing Certified Organic, high-quality vegetables, cut-flowers and eggs for weekly farmers’ markets, & wholesale accounts.
Seasonal tasks include:
- Seeding
- Bed prep
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Trellising
- Harvest
- Bouquet design
We are Certified Organic by Baystate Certifiers & proud members of CT-NOFA, the CT Flower Collective, New CT Farmer Alliance, & the Real Organic Project.
Desired Applicant Experience
Ideal candidate has:
- Passion for hard work, nature, good food.
- Positive attitude!
- Ability to work independently & with small, diverse groups.
- Ability to self motivate for care & speed in your work.
- Experience in flower design is a plus.
- At least 1 year working in farming or related industry (landscaping, construction, etc.)
