Employer: Earth Tones Native Plant Nursery and Landscapes
Work Location: 212 Grassy Hill Road, Woodbury, CT
Term of Employment: March to December with possible work opportunity at nursery during the winter
Compensation Range: Pay based on experience - Starting rate $20/hr
Duties / Responsibilities
Work on crew to install and maintain landscapes using a native plant palette, using organic and sustainable practices all focused on helping our local ecosystems. Projects include meadow installation, building rain gardens, invasive plant removal, overall residential landscape projects and maintenance including weeding, watering, and Spring clean up. Days when not working on a client’s property we will be working at the nursery on maintenance and expansion projects.
Earth Tones is NOT a lawn maintenance company.
Desired Applicant Experience
- Basic landscape knowledge and skills
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Enjoys working outdoors and willing to work in all kinds of weather
- Desire to learn native plants
- Willing to learn sustainable landscape practices
- Able to stand/walk for majority of workday
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Opportunity to learn how to run equipment
