Employer: The Farmer's Table

Work Location: Northwest Connecticut

Term of Employment: 15-20 hours/week

Compensation Range: $25-$28/hour

Duties / Responsibilities

About Us:

The Farmer’s Table supports sustainability of Northwest CT farmers by connecting them to resources and to the area communities for whom they offer fresh, healthy produce and product.  Through events, educational programs and partnerships, the nonprofit aims to strengthen the local food system by promoting access to Northwest CT-grown or raised food and the farmers who produce it.

The Role: 

We are seeking a part-time Program & Operations Coordinator.  The role blends program coordination with operational support. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, yet flexible, able to step into whatever a program needs and keep our systems humming from budget-tracking to CRM updates.

Responsibilities are likely to include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate logistics for programs, events and meetings (virtual and in-person)
  • Maintain the CRM and contact lists; ensure accurate records and list segments
  • Manage emails and quarterly newsletters in a timely way
  • Track program and event budgets; assist with expense reporting and light bookkeeping
  • Support grant applications and fundraising

Desired Applicant Experience

  • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Google Workspace experience and comfort learning CRMs, database apps and email tools
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and interact with the public
  • Prior nonprofit or program coordination experience a plus
