Soil Health 3-Ways – September Session
Assawaga Farm 626 Providence Pike, Putnam, CT, United StatesUnder the tutelage of CT NOFA Soil Health Program Manager, Monique Bosch, Soil Health 3-Ways participants will attend three virtual sessions (via Zoom) that cover the three main properties of soil – physical, chemical, and biological – in the lead-up to an in-person, practical application session. This 4-course series is intended for both commercial farmers and home gardeners to help them work with nature to produce healthy plants and nutrient-dense food.

CT NOFA Microscopy Training
Auer Farm 158 Auer Farm Rd., Bloomfield, CT, United StatesCT NOFA microscopy training is back this October! Participants will learn how to use a microscope to view various soils and composts, looking at the different soil structures and the microbes that thrive in healthy soil, how to prepare a slide for viewing, what you might find, and how to evaluate your findings.
