Join CT NOFA at The Hickories in Ridgefield as we learn about:

  • How the actions we take above ground affect the life in the soil
  • Healthy soil, and what is looks like up close and through the microscope
  • Vermicompost and compost tea production
  • How these principles can be applied to your farm or garden

Worm compost (vermicompost) and compost tea production is allowed as an amendment on certified organic vegetable and fruit crops.  But like any complex soil process, there are protocols about how to make the vermicompost and the compost tea.

Come join us for a hands on workshop on soil featuring compost tea and compost tea production.  We will go through each step of the process as well as a discuss how the tea applies to soil health and fruit and vegetable production.

Featured speaker: Monique Bosch, Wiggle Room.
