Project Manager, Advocacy & Community Engagement (Part-Time)

Work Location: Remote

Term of Employment: Approximately 20-25 hours per week; grant-funded position through December 2027 with potential for extension

Compensation Range: Compensation commensurate with experience

Duties / Responsibilities

Pollinator Pathway seeks a part-time Project Manager to coordinate and expand our national advocacy and community engagement efforts focused on reducing pollinator-harming pesticide use and promoting pollinator-friendly land management policies.

The Project Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, Advocacy Chair, Board members, local Pollinator Pathway leaders, and partner organizations to organize advocacy initiatives, support grassroots leaders, develop educational resources, coordinate events and webinars, and track project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Manage implementation of the One Hive Foundation grant work plan.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Track project metrics and outcomes.
  • Support grant reporting and documentation.

Advocacy & Partnership Development

  • Help identify and monitor local and state policy opportunities, such as towns proposing pollinator-friendly ordinances or states considering pollinator-protecting legislation. such as towns proposing pollinator-friendly ordinances or states looking for ways to support preservation of pollinators.
  • Connect community leaders with advocacy partners and coalitions.
  • Support the development of advocacy campaigns and educational initiatives.
  • Maintain relationships with partner organizations and subject matter experts.

Communications & Resource Development

  • Assist in developing advocacy toolkits, fact sheets, presentations, and educational materials.
  • Coordinate advocacy-related website content and resource updates.
  • Contribute content for newsletters, webinars, and social media.
  • Help document and share success stories from local communities.

Desired Applicant Experience

Qualifications

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience in community organizing, nonprofit programs, environmental education, advocacy, or public policy preferred.
  • Familiarity with conservation, pollinator issues, native plants, or environmental policy is a plus.
  • Proficiency with digital tools including Google Workspace, Zoom, WIX Web Development, and project management platforms.
