Next Generation Farmer Fund

The National Young Farmers Coalition is very excited to announce the Next Generation Farmer Fund, which will provide $10K-$50K grants, including technical assistance, to young farmers and ranchers across the country. The Next Generation Farmer Fund is one response to the urgency many farmers are facing today: capital is needed to make it through the season while farmers are building systems that protect them against the worsening impacts of a changing climate. 

By bringing together private-sector investment, our nonprofit expertise, and technical assistance from trusted partner organizations, our goal is to help more farmers access the tools they need to build resilient farm businesses despite the harsh realities we’re up against. This program is made possible through major gifts from Whole Foods Market and other corporate partners, as well as generous individual donations.

Applications for the grant program will be open from October 28, 2026 through December 1, 2026. Eligible practices will include efforts to improve soil health, water quality, water conservation, biodiversity, energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and other conservation practices.
