Wild Blueberry Winnowing Crew

Duties / Responsibilities
Winnowing, processing, packing wild blueberries with fun, dynamic crew in our new facility! The harvest season runs from the 3rd week in July through mid-to-late August. Hours are pretty regular, Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm, with additional Saturday hours if needed due to rain and Sundays off. Typically totals 40 hours/week, but we do pay overtime if it goes over 40. The winnowing crew works indoors, in an air conditioned facility; tasks include winnowing, processing, packing, and daily clean-up.
We’ve been farming certified organic wild blueberries for 29 years now, currently managing about 50 acres and harvesting and processing 25,000 to 30,000 lbs. per year.
Desired Applicant Experience
Previous farm work preferred, but not essential. We work alongside and train everyone. Like most farm work, the tasks are repetitive, with efficiency and quality and food safety being our priorities. Need to be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, go in & out of walk-in cooler/freezers, and work with moving belts, pallets of fruit, and the bustle of a crew making our annual harvest happen!
