Bring the whole family to watch a border collie herding sheep. Learn about shearing and raising your own backyard woolen mill. Try your hand at carding, felting, spinning, crocheting and knitting. Share in a potluck lunch.
This is one of Motherhouse's Old Style Life-Skills workshops which occur on the second Saturday of every month. Others include:
Raising and Harvesting Chickens on June 9, Making Jams & Jellies on July 14, and Canning on August 11.

Girl Scouts of the USA has developed a new curriculum of “Journeys” one of which is the unit “It’s Your Planet, Love It” focusing on the critical issue of protecting our planet.  Within this unit are  “Sow What” relating to global hunger, land use and buying local, and  “Wonders of Water” addressing the importance of guarding our water supplies.
