Volunteers wanted
- help plan and hold on-farm workshops.  Share your expertise and your farm with the many folks eager to learn new skills. Possible topics include CSA's and greenhouse management.  Call the office to offer your farm, expertise or helping hands.  Thanks!

June 22, 2008 -  CT NOFA Organic Farms tour ***NEW DATE***  The 3 farms this year will be in Fairfield county and details will soon be posted on the website.

August 8-10, 2008 -  NOFA Summer Conference, UMass, Amherst.  The NOFA Summer Conference Committee is pleased to announce announce our Keynote Speaker for Friday evening, Dr. Arden Andersen. Holistic medical practitioner, expert in human and agricultural nutrition, author, and educator, Dr. Andersen will share with us his extensive knowledge on the link between healthy agricultural practices and healthy people.

*The Garlic Farm job openings - West Granby, CT farm is looking for help over the summer. He needs about 20 able bodied people to harvest several acres of garlic mid/end of July for 4-5 days AND he is looking for a farm stand manager and part time farm stand person to harvest vegetables and run the stand during the day, 4-5 days a week, starting in July.  Please email or call Gary

*Assistant Farm Manager - Phillies Bridge Farm Project in New Palz, NY, is hiring an Assistant Farm Manager for the remainder of the 2008 season.  This person will work with the Farm Manager in many aspects of running a six acre garden and caring for a small flock of sheep and laying hens.  The Assistant will also be involved in the day-to-day operation of a non-profit organization.  This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has completed a few farming internships and is looking for the next step.  Tractor and animal husbandry experience is a plus.  On-farm housing may be available.  Please send your resume and three references to
